This long-established and popular fair is now the world’s only event dedicated to art on paper from every era, including drawings, watercolours, prints, photographs and posters. All work on display is for sale. Purchasers can be assured of the value of the works of art as each piece will be examined by a team of museum experts and labelled including price.

This year the Fair has works dating from the 15th Century up to and including contemporary artists working today. These works range in media from watercolours to woodcuts, copperplate engraving to photography and there is something for every budget from £100 to £100,000.

An added treat for lovers of rarely displayed art work is the Loan Exhibition, Images of War & Peace at Waterloo Station, which highlights the two iconic posters of Waterloo Station that Helen McKie produced in the 1940s and her preparatory watercolours sketches.

This year, the 20|21 International Art Fair will be held from 16th – 19th February, 2012. The venue for this outstanding event is the renowned Royal College of Art, located in Kensington Gore, London. Jeffrey Archer will open the Fair at 12 noon on the 16th. You can join us on the opening day Thursday 16th February during reception 6.30 – 8.30pm.

Work by well known artists from the 20th and 21st centuries are showcased by 60 exhibitors. These include Matisse, Miro, Picasso, Chagall, Henry Moore, David Hockney and Mary Fedden. The work of lesser known yet highly talented artists will also be on display: well worth a look.

A variety of media is included, such as oils, original prints, watercolours, drawings, photography and ceramics. All work dates from 1900 to the present date and the price range is quite reasonable.

Work from all over the world has been collected by many galleries and art dealers to be showcased in the cosmopolitan city that is London. This year will be the sixth Art Fair. In 2009, 65 galleries were in attendance and was a record year in terms of attendance and sales. Over 12,000 people visited the 2009 Fair and in excess of  1,100 artworks were sold. 2010 promises to showcase works from even more galleries, with the possibility of a new record.

The Edinburgh Art Fair will be held once again in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange. With a Charity Preview Evening and Drinks Reception to be held on Thursday, 18th November, the Fair will be open to the general public from Friday, 19th November through to Sunday, 21st November.

Last year’s visitors to the Edinburgh Art Fair were impressed with the sheer diversity of work on display. This fair is one of a few elite fairs where the range of styles and pricing is so immense. With this in mind, the Fair has to be considered as one of the best held in the UK.

The Affordable Art Fair is the leading showcase in the UK for contemporary art under £4000. The Fair was launched in London in 1999 and now takes place biannually in London and New York, annually in Bristol, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Singapore and affiliate fairs include Sydney and Melbourne. Regent’s Park, London, is the venue in October each year for the exciting Frieze Art Fair. This year exhibition will take place between 14th and 17th October.

The 1st to 3rd October, 2010, sees the return of the largest commercial Art Fair in North East England to the Sage Gateshead. This modern building, destined to be an icon in the not too distant future, is to become the permanent home for this annual fair.

For the fourth year running, the Newcastle Gateshead Art Fair will showcase a diverse range of unique artworks from Northern, National and International galleries. Art London has always had a cosmopolitan theme, with 2010 continuing this theme. Art from all corners of the globe can be found. This includes both the “themed” shows exhibiting the works of a number of talented artists as well as “solo” exhibitions. The annual Chelsea Art Fair is an important part of any art lover’s calendar. In 2011 the fair was held 1st to 3rd of April, avoiding Easter, while for 2012 the fair will be held again later in April.

The Chelsea Art Fair has been held since 1996 and is famous for its “middle of the road” exhibits. Previous year, over 500 artists was showcased by 45 galleries. Beautiful examples of both contemporary and 20th century art in a myriad of media were on display. Paintings, engravings, lithographs and etchings are examples of two dimensional artworks, whilst there were also examples of three dimensional art created from wood, bronze, stone and ceramic.
