The Northern Art Show for 2009 is the perfect place for galleries who are more interested in the art of now and the future and has a support team with 25 years experience in the Arts and in Harrogate. With Art starting from £100 there is something to interest everyone, from those just beginning their collection to the connoisseur.

The venue for the Northern Art Show is the Harrogate International Centre, centrally located in the town. Visitors to the Art Show can also delight in the town of Harrogate itself, it has a rich architectural heritage and beautiful buildings, with a rich and diverse cultural life and top class restaurants and shops.

The exhibition is open to the public from Friday 13th November through to Sunday 15th November, with a gala evening to be held on the Friday from 6.30 – 9.00 pm.

Scotland’s National Art Fair, the Glasgow Art Fair 2010, is held from 25th – 28th March. This is the 15th year of the Fair and throughout this time, the Fair has built and sustained a well deserved reputation as an event where the best quality contemporary art, using varied media, is showcased. Both well established artists and new talent are equally represented.

The prominent white marquees, located in George Square which is itself a dominant feature of the Glaswegian landscape, are full to the brim with outstanding examples of contemporary art from 46 galleries especially selected for the exhibition. These galleries hail from throughout Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond and represent around 1,000 artists. It is anticipated that approximately 16,500 people will visit the Fair in 2010.

Glasgow has become renowned for its patronage of visual arts and the Art Fair has, over the past decade and a half, become established as a springboard from which emerging talent is able to gain exposure to the buying public.

One special feature of the 2010 Glasgow Art Fair is a special exhibition of work by the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts (RGI). This Institute was founded in 1860 and is active in the promotion of contemporary art works by Scottish artists.

The Fair is the ideal place in Scotland to purchase, sell or simply view art, whether you are an avid collector, a casual purveyor, or just interested in art.  Art works can be purchased for as little as £50, whilst others attract prices in excess of £70,000.

In 2010 the Russian Eastern and Oriental Fine Art Fair launches the Eastern Art Prizes to discover the best emerging artists from Russia and Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Two of our artists are shortlised for the Anyya Sand Eastern Prize – Sonya Radan and Stojan Djuric.

Dedicated exclusively to Russian and Eastern Art, the Russian Eastern and Oriental Fine Art Fair is the first of its kind. Dealers and collectors from all over the globe will gather at the event to stun visitors with a huge array of fine art works ranging from fabulous Fabergé jewels through to Byzantine icons and paintings: work produced over the past millenium by Russian artists and skilled craftsmen.

London is now firmly established as the major city for Russian art collectors and is the home of many Russian art auctions. As such, the Russian Art Fair attracts expatriate Russian businessmen now living in London as well as collectors who still reside in the motherland and in other countries over the world. Indeed, the 2009 Fair was a major event in London’s Russian community’s  social calendar and included a Charity Gala Evening in aid of The Children’s Burn’s Trust.

The event was attended by Their Highnesses Prince and Princess Dimitri Lobanov Rostovsky and other high profile members of the London Russian community, celebrity clientele, VIPs and invited guests. Together with the Ritz Club VIP dinner, the Fair raised approximately £15,000 for the CBT and there were some substantial six-figure sales. Gallery representatives from countries as distant as Russia, Europe, the Middle East, Far East and the United States travel to this premier event.

As a new addition for 2010, the Fair has expanded its horizons to also include Eastern Art, primarily from the area formerly known as Persia. This is in answer to the increasing demands for art from this region. As well, the Art Fair will also showcase dealers who specialise in fine Oriental and Indian art and antiquities. Until now, there  has not been an event in the UK that caters for this market, despite the fact that hundreds of people wishing to purchase such art attend the London Russian, Indian and Oriental sales.

The Russian Art Fair organisers, in conjunction with their partners the Ritz Club Casino, The St Petersburg Ball, The Russian Summer Ball, as well as major media partners and other fair organisers, are dedicated to attracting the highest quality clientele. The timing coincides with the  large additional influx of art buyers into London for the Russian sales at Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Bonhams and MacDougall’s, which will occur during the same week. The Charity Gala Evening will once more raise much needed funds to assist in the  rehabilitation of children with severe burns.
